Steve joined Incentivesmart as a System Architect in 2021.

He is responsible for coding new features and requirements, looking at the overall system to make sure it’s right for now and the future, and keeping abreast of new technologies in the industry and if they suit – how we use them.

When he’s not working, you’ll find Steve on the race track as he’s massively into his classic and retro cars.

Let’s get to know Steve…

Hi Steve! So tell us a bit about your work background and experience.

I’ve been in the software world for 11 or so years now, starting out in a 1^st Line Support role before moving to Development a year later and never looked back! I’ve worked on countless systems and projects across companies over that time, and it’s always exciting taking something from an idea to something tangible via code that you can see used in the real world!

My role at Incentivesmart is Systems Architect – when family and friends ask what this means, the answer of ‘architecting systems’ doesn’t tend to fly too well. In a nutshell though, it’s coding new features and requirements, looking at the overall system to make sure it’s right for now and the future, and keeping abreast of new technologies in the industry and if they suit – how we use them.

What's your favourite thing about Incentivesmart?

The people, everyone’s been so welcoming which has been great – it made going back into an office after 15 months working at home that much easier!
