
Situated midway between Cambridge and Milton Keynes, Wyboston Lakes is an award-winning resort that includes a golf course, hotel, spa, serviced offices and conference & training facilities.
Summary: Incentivesmart developed two apps for Wyboston Lakes to support their customer loyalty programme and ensure connectivity across the resort. One app was for staff to enter their unique ID when completing a sale to ensure the points value was allocated correctly. The second app was for the customers, whereby they would scan their unique QR code on the iPod before making a purchase and then earn the points.
The objective: The client was looking to encourage more visits from existing customers, as well as attracting new visitors across the resort. To do this, they wanted to introduce a loyalty programme whereby customers were rewarded for their commitment to the brand.
However, with the resort being so large, connectivity to activity across the complex was critical. Every till system was unique to that outlet so they needed a solution that would integrate with them all.
The solution: Incentivesmart created a customer loyalty programme whereby visitors could earn points throughout the resort. To support the programme, two apps were developed simultaneously:
- iPods were installed at every till point. Staff used one app to enter their unique ID when completing a sale to ensure the points value were allocated correctly.
- The second app was for the customers whereby they would scan their unique QR code on the iPod before making a purchase and then earn the points.
An automated process was introduced to review transactions at the end of each day and flag unusual behaviour to prevent misuse of the apps.
The apps enabled the collation of information by outlet across the complex showcasing customer purchasing behaviours. Points were awarded daily via an API, linking the relevant till system to the reward portal.
The app is still available for download for all customers and has improved connectivity across the resort.
