As the cost-of-living crisis worsens, Stonewater, a leading social housing provider, wanted to support its customers by helping them save on everyday essentials. Partnering with Incentivesmart, they launched an exclusive new rewards programme that enables customers to access a range of benefits, from online and in-store discounts, available at over 500 retailers.
“Feedback from our customers told us that real, tangible benefits to help with everyday living costs is what would help them most, which is why we've launched our MyRewards platform!” Rebekah Terrell, Service Improvement Manager at Stonewater. They also spent time speaking with other social housing providers to understand what they currently offered customers and what they thought of it. This customer feedback and discussions with fellow housing providers made it clear to Stonewater why having a rewards platform was the best solution to encourage engagement whilst helping make savings.
Stonewater customers can access MyRewards through their MyHome account – a portal that allows customers to manage their tenancy, make payments and set up direct debits. Having these two platforms integrated means customers only have to log in to one account to access all their online services. The leading housing provider has reported that the launch of MyRewards has resulted in a 51% increase in registrations to the MyHome portal within the first quarter of 2022. Within the first two months of launching, registered MyRewards users collectively saved more than £13,500!
As the successful rewards programme continues to attract new registrations and help save on everyday costs, Stonewater and our team are exploring what more can be done to help alleviate some financial pressures and increase customer engagement. Upcoming plans include giving customers the chance to earn points that they can spend in an extensive and curated reward catalogue. Not only will this improve the relationship between Stonewater and its customers, but will allow the housing provider to recognise and promote important behaviour change such as encouraging tenants to become more digital.
